The only one didn't make it out for our November 6th, Halloween. Probably the best one, might I add.

There was also a little mishap, and Dave had to go to the hospital because of a knife slip. He ended up with three stitches in his left thumb. But made it home just in time to finish this one. Goes to show how careful you have to be with knives. So be careful! And avoid using sharp steak knives at all cost!
Overall, our Halloween was a bit of a mess. But we tried our best to enjoy it anyways.

As a tradition for me and Dave we go and pick a pumpkin every year. Or in our case, several pumpkins. To carve for the fall season, our favorite season. This year we went to Mack's Apple Orchard. We went a little too late into the pumpkin picking season though, and lost our chance to walk through the pumpkin patches and grab our own. So we did the next best thing, and grabbed them out of the crates. Not as fun, but they're fresh from the patches, I suppose that's good enough. We bought several pumpkins, and carved most of them with stencils we bought off of zombiepumpkins.com

We made an attempt to bake brown sugar pumpkin seeds, like we did the year before without a recipe, with a recipe. We burned them, so we didn't get any this year. Guess it's not always a good thing to follow a recipe when you make them amazing the first time, if it isn't broken don't fix it.

It was a bummer it snowed on our Halloween and we couldn't have these out for all the trick'or'treaters could see them before they rotted.
