Salem Old Town Hall |
Britt and I went to Salem, Massachusetts today to spend the day. We go there every so often. On this occasion, we went to the Peabody Essex Museum and saw their 'Shape Shifting' exhibit, as well as a good part of the rest of the museum. It's a cool museum, but if you ever go make sure you have a lot of time to go through the mazes of rooms. I mean like 3+ hours. If we had more time we would have stayed longer. We had lunch at Beer Works of Salem, an awesome place, but it's a bit pricey. We went for lunch, so there weren't that many people there. We enjoyed it, though. (We recommend the Hot Spinach and Artichoke dip. ^.^ )

We also stopped by Artemisia Botanicals, for some herbs to use in our soap, and tea. They were in the process of moving to a larger shop a block over though, so a lot of their things were in boxes. We love Artemisia, and we make sure to go there every time we visit Salem. Their selection of herbs, and essences are large, and the staff is very personable. We would also like to say Congratulations to Teri and everybody at Artemisia on your new building. Best of luck!
We also stopped in The Picklepot to grab some tea infusers and tea bags, since Artemisia had already packed theirs away.
All-in-all it was a pretty short trip to Salem this time. But we love Salem, so we wouldn't pass up the opportunity, and we'll be back again soon, I'm sure. Maybe we'll leave enough time to see ALL of the Peabody Essex next time. And take more pictures of Salem.
