Momma's Refurbished Foot Stool

This is a post by Momma.
I went shopping at the local salvation army in search of a project, this is what I found:
An antique foot stool with a very old and worn cover
for $6.00 and some drapery for $3.00

First remove the top of the stool.
I remove the screws from the base so I know how far I can go in with the fabric.

Cut the fabric a few inches bigger than the cover.

Start by stapling the material near the hinges.

Follow suit on the opposite side.
Fold the edges over like you would when wrapping a present and staple in place.

Re-attach the cover to the base, and there you have it!

I am using mine in my bathroom to assist me in getting into the Jacuzzi tub,
but they are great furniture for any room!
