So we went to Salem, Ma again on Sunday, May 13, 2012 for Mother's Day.
We went to bring Momma to the brand new Life Alive that just opened in the area,
for a delicious all natural vegan lunch.
We enjoyed our day in Salem, stopping by the usual stores.
We went to Artemisia Botanicals to grab some more herbs, and check out their new location.
Unfortunately, it never crossed my mind to bring the list I had written.
So although I had the chance, I didn't get any of the herbs I've been needing for months.
None the less, I still gathered a few new ones anyways.
We also dropped by The Picklepot and picked up a tea pot.
Which I love, and spared no time before I used it for our 'Blood Orange Tea'!
Recipe for (loose leaf) Blood Orange Tea
- 16 Oz. of Boiling Water
- 3 Tsp Black Tea Leaves
- 2 Tsp Dried Blood Orange Zest
- 1/2 Tsp Rose-Hips
- 1/2 Tsp Hibiscus Flower
- Orange Slice for Garnish
Directions for Steeping Tea
Boil 16 Oz of water, pour into teapot.
In a teabag, mix together black tea, orange zest, rose-hips, and hibiscus.
Place into hot water, let sit for about 5 minutes,
depending on the strength of tea that you'd like to achieve.
Pour into cup and enjoy hot,
or pour into a mason jar (in my case) let cool, place in refrigerator to chill,
when chilled take top off and garnish with orange slice.
Yields 2 Cups
