Apple Picking @ Mack's 2012

For the spirit of Mabon (the first day of fall), we started with our fall festivities.
We go apple picking every fall, as with a lot of things we do annually.
This year we took along Megan.
We went to Mack's Apples, like we did last year.
Mack's is New Hampshires #1 rated apple orchard, due to it's size and quality,
plus it's right down the street from us.

Fresh picked Cortland apple, from Mack's.
We bought 1 peck of apples, and Megan bought a 1/2 peck,
we spent a good 2 hours walking around the rows of trees looking for the best apples.
We only picked from the ripe Cortland apples, considering they're the best apples to use for everything.

After we were done picking, we brought the apples to the car, and headed to the farmstand.
The farmstand was busy with people grabbing pumpkins, fresh baked goods, and fresh farm milk.
We bought 3 New Hampshire made sodas, a gallon of apple cider,
some fresh apple cider donuts, and a tub of caramel to dip some apples in.

We took our sodas, and fresh donuts outside to sit at one of their picnic table set up by their duck pond.

Dave's Maple Cream Soda, and Cider Donuts.

Megan's Gallon of fresh NH cider.

Megan, and I by the Mack's Apples sign.
A good way to end our visit, I think.
